Dr Dudley Lai
Dr Dudley Lai graduated from the University of Sydney in 1999. He practiced his first two and a half years in rural NSW, Kempsey. He then worked in various practices in Sydney as well as obtaining qualification for practicing orthodontics. In 2005 he bought this practice in Helensburgh. Dudley enjoys the variety of areas in general practice dentistry, including crowns and bridges, aesthetic dentistry, orthodontics and implants.
Dudley and his wife enjoy living locally with their three children. The children have had happy years in the local primary school and Dudley loves walking to work most days. Dudley loves seeing his patients, having good and meaningful chats and values the relationships he has built up over the years.
Dr Rachel Cornford
Dr Rachel Cornford has been working at the Helensburgh practice since 1996, and lives in the community with her husband and two children. Her dental training took place in New Zealand where she also began her professional career as a dentist, before moving to Australia in 1995. Rachel enjoys working with a range of patients, including those who have anxiety toward receiving dental treatment. Her gentle approach provides these patients with a safe atmosphere and encourages their regular dental care.
Rachel is committed to her educational training and up skilling, regularly attending and participating in dental conferences and seminars. This allows her to implement updated regimes and protocols of the latest development in our practice.
Dr Andrew Makram
Dr Andrew Makram is a caring and gentle dentist who really enjoys taking the time to get to know his patients and what they need. Originally from Sydney, Andrew has treated patients ranging from regional Queensland all the way to the Gold Coast, gaining appreciation for all aspects of Dentistry.
Andrew is a massive football (soccer) fan and loves a good tennis hit. He has a great sense of humour and loves to bring this to his interactions with patients. He is truly passionate about Dentistry and patient care, which is why he joined Dr Dudley Lai Dental Surgery, to create a comfortable experience for his patients.
Dr Farah Diba Tahity
Dr Farah Diba Tahity is a dedicated and devoted dentist, who has been practising all aspects of general dentistry for many years. She completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2013 and has been in dental care ever since both abroad and in Australia.
Farah has a track records of attending to all dentistry aspects including preventative, restorative (fillings, crown, bridge, inlay and onlay), cosmetic dentistry, paediatric and emergency treatments – RCT and extractions including wisdom teeth removal. Farah has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry; hence she is currently doing a post graduate diploma in Prosthodontics and dentofacial aesthetics from the International College of Dental Practioners, Sydney.
Farah loves to connect with patients as she believes that ‘comfort and trust is the most important thing in treating a patients’. Thus, she tries to make her treatment environment as comfortable as possible with the proper amount of time and patience to listen and talk to her patients.
